Reporting to: General Manager

Overall purpose of the job (why does the job exist?)

To supplement existing team of Electrical Switchboard and Control Panel builders

Key activities:

• Assembly of Electrical control panel enclosures
• Laying out of back plates and fixing components
• Fixing door mounted components
• Power and control cable wiring
• Installation of switchboard ACBs/MCCB/Fuse-switches etc.
• Installation of Bus-bar systems

Special requirements:

There may be a requirement to travel within the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland for reassembly of switchboards and site testing.

Personnel Specification

Qualifications

 Essential

• 4no GCSE grades A- C

Desirable

• 17^th Edition IEE wiring regulations qualification

Relevant Experience

Essential

• Previous experience in panel building workshop/factory.
• Low Voltage switchgear
• motor starters
• Electrical control wiring

Desirable

• Testing of control circuits
• Ability to carry out safety tests

Contract: Permanent, Full Time Staff

Geographical Area: Ballymena, Co. Antrim (some travel may be required)

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The key purpose of the role is the production of detailed and accurate electrical estimates for LV switchboards, Panel Board and Distribution Board projects throughout the UK. They will be required to work on a broad variety of projects. They will require an objective and proactive approach to estimating, be ‘customer facing’ and capable of maintaining and developing meaningful relationships with our customers.
